The mantra Om Mani Padme Hum (Oh you jewel in the lotus, you Buddha in the heart of man)
The mantra of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, Om Mani Padme Hum (Om Mani Peme Hung in Tibetan) is probably the most widely used mantra in Buddhism.
Avalokiteshvara is the embodiment of boundless compassion for all beings.
Om symbolizes beginning and end, the all-encompassing.
Mani Padme translates as "jewel in the lotus", meaning the absolute that is contained everywhere, the all-encompassing mind that is in everything.
With this mantra Avalokiteshvara can be called for help.
On the other hand, his recitation purifies the mind of all negative emotions and helps to create compassion.
According to tradition, as an amulet, there is protection and help on the spiritual path to enlightenment!
